The SD/SFG system is available as a thermally broken or non thermally broken ground floor framing system.

Single glazed frame sections are 100x45mm designed to accept 6mm to 12mm glass. Double glazed frame sections are 100x50mm designed to accept 24mm double glazed units or panels.

A range of cill sections, bay poles, corner posts, deep transoms and ancillary profiles are also available.

Shopfront Screen Construction.

All framing systems are designed for easy installation and assembly. Designed as a square cut, butt jointed system, each frame profile has co-extruded screw ports to accept stainless steel or plates self tapping screws.

Mullions are designed to run full height with interrupted transoms, top rails and bottom rails.

This full height design on the vertical members ensures a huge amount of designs can be accommodated as well as making the system easy to transport to site.

Pocket glazed screens are ideal for any ground floor treatment solution.

Material Specifications.

Aluminium extrusions extruded using Aluminium Alloy 6060 or 6063 T6 to BS EN 755 part 9 2008.

The thermally broken system consists of Polyamide thermal barriers are manufactured in accordance with PA66 GF25.

Glazing Gaskets are manufactured in accordance with BS3734.

Our range of commercial screens can be made in a wide choice of designs to suit any project.

Finishes and coatings.

Commercial Door Supplies offer the ground floor framing system in a choice of powder coated or anodised finishes.

Polyester powder coating is carried out by Qualicoat Approved applicators in accordance with BS EN 12206: 2004 Part 1. Single colours are only available on non-thermally broken products. Dual colours are available on thermally broken.

Polyester powder paint is available for either standard or severe weather environments.

Choose from a wide range of powder coated finishes in a choice of shades.

We offer a 40 microns standard surface finish or an optional 60 micron coating for marine, chlorine or severe weather in accordance with ISO9001, ISO14001 and ISO18001.

A range of Anodised and Anolok finishes are also available in accordance with BS3897: 1991 at 25 microns (AA25 Grade). A choice of satin or polished anodised finishes is available on special order and subject to availability.

Glazing methods and requirements.

In accordance with system company manual, glazing must be carried out in accordance with BS6262 for thickness and type.

Single or double glazed shopfronts and screens utilise the “pocket glazed” or “shuffle glaze” arrangement with suitable bottom beads, captive and retained gaskets.
